Just a few of our
Select Jennets
All our jennets range from 30in - 34in max, with the majority being
between 30 - 32in.
As
with our Herd sire, all our jennets are fully Registered with one or more
of the following,
The ADMS, The Donkey breed Society and The MMDA.
With Conformation & Temperament uppermost in our mind from the start in
2003, it quickly became apparent that we had
to purchase top Quality
yearling jennets and simply be patient as they matured into the
beautiful adults we require, which are simply impossible to purchase.
After all, it is very rare for anyone to sell their very best jennets.
Therefore we have been and still are carefully selecting Top Quality
jennets from the very best herds in America with show
Quality and
breeding Quality being one and the same here at Arranbrook.
We
think you will admire the results!
The bloodlines our jennets carry are
From America
Capstone, Country Music, Pope Farms Teaspoon,
Wolfheart Ranch, LN Sonfire, FLTumbleweed, WH Bugle Boy.
From Canada
Circle C Corona, Red Lightening, Little
Motown
LCR Valentino 75th and The Perfections
Ranch.
Arranbrook practices a sound breeding philosophy. With the limited
bloodlines available within the UK we take great pride in the
variety of our herd’s pedigrees. We have carefully researched the
pedigree’s of our stock to assure of
no line breeding.
While line breeding is a common practice in equines and canines we feel
that line breeding is not required to improve the
Miniature Donkeys.
Very few American
breeders line breed, those that do have extensive experience as breeders.
To distinguish animals with no line breeding in their pedigree on our
website you will see the notation:
NLBP which stands for “No Line
breeding in Pedigree”
See our foal page!
We
proudly present our Outstandingly Beautiful Girls!

Society.
Sire: WH Bugle Boy. Brown 31in.
Dam: Capstone Nellie. Brown 34. 4in.
Katie is a sweet natured light brown jennet, with
correct conformation and a great round hip.
I saw her full sister and some of her offspring during my visits to Wolfheart Ranch in the USA
I was very impressed with these Donkeys, indeed one of which, Wolfhearts
Sugar Badger
is now a Herd Sire in England!
So Katie was purchased for me in 2005 by Joyce
direct from the Capstone Ranch in Texas.
Katie's first foal is due in April 2008 and will be by Country Music's
Johnny Paycheck.
I am very excited about this foal!

I bought her direct off the Famous Country Music's ranch in Texas along
with my
Herd Sire CM's
Johnny Paycheck
in 2004 when both were only a few weeks old.
She has a nice rounded hip, beautiful head and is of course a very
correct Donkey.
Dixie
Doughnut as she is affectionately known is the joker in the herd and if
anyone can spot
an open
gate or golden opportunity to get into mischief,
then it is always going
to be Dixie!!

Highland show, then DBS Champion Yearling at Braco Donkey show.
During her second year she was also reserve
Champion Miniature Donkey at Peterborough show.
We are pleased to now have Annie's Dam, Perfection's Angel Face, join
our Herd!
Annie will even shake "hands" on command for a mint!!!

34in. Sorrel.

Reg: ADMS & Miniature Mediterranean Donkey Association. The
Donkey Breed Society.
Sire: Circle C Corona. Sorrel.
Sire: Circle C Red Lightening. Sorrel.
Dam: Sunset Acres Firegirl. Grey Dun.
Our beautiful jennet, Kay, who's photos I need
to update to show how gorgeous she is, has the look of her super Sire
Corona.
Pictured
She was imported from South Carolina in foal to FL Tumbleweed,
Senior
Herd Sire Wolfheart Ranch.
Kay was originally purchased as a show jennet for Rock N Roll ranch in
Tennessee and she
did well as a young jennet.
Sadly, only due to a bereavement was she sold
on.
She is one of the best sorrel jennets I have ever seen and is a welcome addition to my Herd!
Kay has a small neat
head and a super huge round hind quarter.
Her
first foal, Arranbrook Bobby Dazzler, is our Junior Herd sire.
Kay is in foal to Country Music's Johnny Paycheck
for a late summer 2008 foal.
