Video of Johnny Paycheck Filly foal born to one of the two Mare's we sold to a very happy customer in Taunton!

If you don't see what your looking for here feel free to contact me.   I will put you in touch with another Reputable Stud which has taken the same care & attention as we have in putting together his Quality Herd using Top Established Bloodlines.   Neither of us need to import anymore Donkeys as our Breeding programs are well Established & Proven to be producing Top Quality Foals who go on to be seen in the show ring, for breeding, driving or lovable healthy pets!

Importing from the USA and Canada is now very expensive and they may be extra charges incurred as all Donkeys do not make it through quarantine (due to failing blood tests) in order to travel!

~ Isolation, import charges, vet fees & UK taxes for one Jenny Jan 2011  from Texas   $2700    =    Approx £1700

*Does not include purchase price or collection from airport,  we collect our own Donkeys and have not added fuel / shipping in UK or at least a days work lost.

NB:  Prices look set for further rises this year!

Old West Limited Edition

Photo Taken this winter.

Light Red
DOB 24th April 02

Height 31.5"

Sire:     Hooves etc Rascal.  rascalChampion Futurity Jack title at the 2002 Calgary Stampede World Miniature   Donkey Show.

Dam: Circle C Special Edition.  Multi Grand Champion    Special Edition pictured with Eddy as a foal

Pictured here With Sharon and Krista Cooke of Cooke Livestock Alberta Canada in 2004 at the MDE in Red Deer.

Old West Limited Edition ( Eddy), won the 2 year old jack class and went on to be Reserve Champion Jack of the Show. He also won the Maturity/Futurity Jack Championship. Eddy was also a prizewinner at the World Miniature Donkeys Show.   Eddy was purchased from Cooke Livestock and Julie Branden

Eddy was bred to one jennet at Cooke livestock’s Circle C herd before coming to Europe. His resultant first foal Circle C Larissa was the top priced foal/yearling at the 2006 Rocky Mountain Sale. Larissa went on to stand 2nd in her class at the Calgary Stampede World Miniature Donkey Show. Circle C Larissa has since gone on to win Grand Champion at the Pacific Crest Show in Oregon and now resides in the Benson Ranch, the new home of the Circle C Herd.

Eddy is now proving his worth in the breeding pasture.

I have personally seen this lovely jack several times over the years and highly Recommended, he is Stunning, small, proven and well known around the World.

Like Johnny Paycheck did, Eddy produces cracking, typey foals which can be picked out in the field as his among other jacks foals, the mark of a great sire.  These are the only two European jacks I know of which have passed on this highly desirable trait!

If I had more space he would have a home with me, I think a lot of this jack and his offspring, call for details www.miniaturedonkeys.eu

Presently in Southern Ireland where a visit can be arranged,  this is the only outside jack I would use, import very cheap no quarantine!

 ARRANBROOK BOBBY DAZZLER

Proven Herd Sire

RESERVE DBS INHAND CHAMPION ONLY TIME SHOWN!

 Sorrel.

29. 1/4 in     Mature height

Foaled  March  2007.

Our Homebred Arranbrook Bobby Dazzler has the small neat head very much sought after in sorrels but seldom achieved!

From the moment he was born we knew he would be special!

Bobby became World famous from the start when his photo taken in the daffodils at a few weeks old was featured on the front page of the Top USA Miniature Donkey publication THE ASSET.

His Conformation is outstanding .  Bobby carry's plenty of bone  and is of drafty build.  He has a super  round hind quarter, plenty of width in his chest and is very straight having an  excellent fluid movement.

This is another Arranbrook jack  which would have been a real asset to the breed in the UK if only people knew how to breed for Quality Stock!

However their lose is France's gain and we know he will be a popular Sire in Europe!

Bobby's  first foal pictured below  Arranbrook  Be Dazzled  show quality filly

Did I mention Bobby would be an asset to the breed as a Stallion?

Country Music's Kelly Willis

Half sister to Champion Country Music's Johnny Paycheck

Photo June 2010

First time shown Bury County show

1st Yearling / two year old filly's        Good, Strong class!

Height;      Just over  30. in    April 2010

 Foaled 13 / 12 / 2007

 Registered ADMS   / DBS Reg

Sire:   Country Music's George Jones.  30in    Dark Brown

Dam:   Someday's  Cinderella.   30in     Light Brown

Kelly Willis'  Sire George Jones really needs no introduction.   He is an NMDA / ADMS Champion and Sire of 20+ National and World Champions.  It was always my intension to have a Direct George Jones daughter as well as the Garth Brooks  daughter we have had for a number of years.

Kelly's Dam,  Cinderella is from the Famous Arnold Sorenson Ranch going back to the original imports.

Of  late she has really exceeded my expectations.   I saw a number of other imports from the same Ranch over the last two years and favoured all over Kelly.     However, she has absolutely blossomed this summer and is now going to push our Stunning Country Music's Dixie Nolan (see above) hard for the best CM's Jennet we own!       Patience is a virtue when rearing youngstock!!!!

Kelly has a deep chest, great legs, is shorter coupled and has a very pretty head and eye.   She will make a few show ring appearances sooner or later but only due to the fact I will have a lot of youngsters in the same class for the next few seasons.

Star Sapphire Liza Shortcake

Canadian Champion & Reserve DBS Inhand Champion winner

 33. 1/4in.  Grey Dun.

 Foaled: 26/9/1996.

Registered: ADMS            The Donkey Breed Society.       The MMDA Stud Book.

Sire:  Missions Montana Red Hot Ass.  Sorrel.

Dam: Lazy C Philamena 84.  31in. Brown

Shorty is originally from the USA but was purchased and imported via Canada.

She is the oldest of our Donkeys, a beautiful jennet, over the years I have seen three of her offspring which I really liked and would have had either of the daughters I saw which included deep dark red so I am delighted to now own her.

Shorty has  a lovely head and eye along with the large hip that I love to see on a Donkey.

I long puzzled that she looked so much like my Early Frost (above) until I realised Frosty's Sire,  LCR Valantino 75th was also Shorty's Grand Sire!

She has won well too, being a DBS Reserve Champion jennet as well as a Candian Champion previously!

Shorty foaled a light sorrel jack, Arranbrook Sweet William, by  Circle C Copyright in 2008.

Shorty excelled this year and produced a Beautiful, correct jack foal Arranbrook Craftsman who is by Country Music's Johnny Paycheck.

Capstone Katie Price

Fabulous Brood mare in foal to our coloured stallion KiTerra's Outlaw

  33 in Brown

 Foaled 14/2/2004

Reg:    The Donkey Breed  Society.   MMDA Stud Book.

Sire:   WH Bugle Boy.    Brown 31in.

Dam:  Capstone Nellie.  Brown 34. 4in.

Katie is a sweet natured light brown jennet, with correct conformation and a great round hip.   Katie is so gentle that I believe she would hate the show ring and for that reason alone will not show her, however her lineage is Champion producing.

I saw her full sister and some of her offspring during my visits to Wolfheart Ranch in the USA.  I was very impressed with these Donkeys, especially when I saw Capstone Blue Moon June at such a tender age.  A week later she won NMDA Champion Jennet and Best of Breed Reserve Champion 2006.

Katie was purchased for me by Joyce DIRECT from the Capstone Ranch in Texas.

She is without doubt easily the best of the Bugle Boy line residing here  in the UK.

Bugle Boy is now almost in his 20's  and most of the Capstone Donkeys have been sold or relocated to France where  Theresa and Kerry now live concentrating on their Poitou Donkeys.

Katie's first foal was a lovely Quality brown jack by Country Music's Johnny Paycheck.

Katie's second foal is full brother to last years  and has been retained as a gelding, we look forward to showing him.

Katie is in foal to KiTerra's Outlaw, pictured below, for an early April 2011 foal.

I would expect a fabulous foal whatever the colour!

Katie is only offered for sale as I have retained 4 of my own foals and will keep some of Outlaws foals over the next few years, therefore I must keep my numbers sensible.  This mare is very gentle, easy to do in all ways, breed and foal.

All Listings & Prices Subject to Change. We try to remain competitive with the current market of stock, and price each Donkey according to the quality of the individual, not just a lump price for weanlings, or all bred jennets one price, etc.   We invite you to come & see our whole herd, so you can get the big picture of the overall quality of our entire herd, as well as learn about the bloodlines & crosses we are breeding for better donkeys!

CLICK HERE  FOR DONKEYS WE HAVE SOLD

We do not have any so called "Clearouts" in our Herd, these are Donkeys the owner is not happy with and want to sell in order to purchase better stock.

All the Arranbrook Herd are show Quality with practically all having graced and won in the show ring.

We always honestly describe Donkeys offered for sale and price them according to their differing quality and overall conformation or show, breeding or pets and never just lumping them in as all same price.

Not every female we breed will be of brood mare quality, it is very unrealistic to think they all will be but unlike others I will not sell all females as such and when we have pet quality foals her paperwork will be endorsed as pet quality only and reflected in the price.

Honesty and integrity being our motto.

Please note we do not sell a single Donkey to a home without other Donkeys.

If your looking for Quality Donkeys look no further.  ALL ours have correct conformation, wonderful movement and perfect mouths. You will not find anything to beat these on conformation!

Be aware of spurious breeders selling stock which are not good enough to keep, why would you want to purchase those?   Cost's as much to keep a good one as a bad one!

If  I don't have what your looking for we do recommend another breeder with Quality Donkeys who is also honest, reliable

and who's goal is also to improve the Breed in Europe, so do contact us.

Visitors are always welcome, we make no charge for people spending time with our Donkeys, why not arrange a visit to meet us and the Donkeys in person?

I am more than willing to give as much Help & Advice to anyone interested in Miniature Donkeys free of charge.

A prior phone call would be appreciated first.

Acceptable Registry's for Miniature Mediterranean Donkeys are ANY  of the following:

The Donkey Breed Society, which does have Miniature Donkey Registry,

The American Donkey & Mule Society,

The Canadian Donkey and Mule Society, which does have a STUD Book

                                                                                  MMDA

A few important things to look for when purchasing Miniature Donkeys.

Temperament:    The Miniature Donkeys temperament is one of the wonderful things about this lovely breed. Should you come across Herd Sire's which do not display a friendly nature towards humans then look elsewhere as that temperament will come out in his offspring sooner or later.

Mouth /bite:   A miniature Donkey should have a nice even bite, undershot or over shot mouths are undesirable and not breeding stock.

Dwarfism:       Miniature Donkeys are not bred down Standard Donkeys, they are a breed in their own right.  Therefore be wary of Donkeys with large heads and small legs.

The Donkeys overall appearance should be of one in perfect proportion.

Miniature Donkeys

When your day seems out of balance and so many things go wrong, when people fight around you and the day drags on so long.  When parents act like children, and in-laws drive you bonkey, go out in your pasture and wrap your arms around a donkey.

His gentle breath enfolds you and he watches with those eyes.  He may not have a PhD, but he is oh, so wise!  His head rests on your shoulder.  You embrace him oh so tight.  He puts your world in balance, and makes it seem all right.

Your tears will soon stop flowing.  The tension is now eased.  The garbage has been lifted, and you're quiet and at peace.  So when you need the balance from circumstances in your day, the best therapy that you can seek is out there eating hay!!!!

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Mary Ann Miller
