GENUINE SALE OF ALL OUR DONKEYS
We are not claiming to be retiring or downsizing or even selling off our rubbish!
Due to a fanatastic dog showing season last year
& 2 winners at Crufts, a Champion, with another knocking on the door for his title already this year.
Ann is now concentrating on the Collies.
The Donkeys offered for sale are some of our very best and we have had and bred some
fantastic Donkeys over the years, of course being so sucessful never made us popular
within the breed but our show wins under DBS judges speaks volumes!!!!
NOTICE 3rd June 2013
It has been a slow process making sure my Donkeys went to the right homes over the past year ,no boasting how quickly it takes me to
sell my Donkeys, as good homes have always been my first priority and I am pleased and can sleep easy at night with the results!
I am now down to the last two Miniature Mares, both valuable sorrel additions to anyone serious about showing / breeding. I did toy with the idea of keeping the sorrels as I know how popular they have become in the UK, but I simply don't have the time to do justice to them.
1) Big Woods 24 Karat. 2004. Open. A top producer of 4 Fabulously correct foals, herself a USA Foal Champion and from the old Cooke Circle C bloodline.

2) The well known Moulon Rouge. 2005. Only bred twice. Open. A Top show winner including Reserve Champion at the presigious Great Yorkshire show last time. She carries the older sturdier Nissan bloodlines.

Please see my For Sale Page for more information.
3) My Standard Filly by Supreme Champion Gamlingay The Alchemist
is now also offered for sale, she is a serious show prospect, please see her own page.

* NB:
Like many sensible Breeders I have never shown my foals, the risk of infection, stress and to their delicate joints not worth an easy Rosette as foal classes have always been poor for this very reason!
I have only listed DBS Awards here not any of the many MMDA Awards won by our Donkeys in past years.
All the above awards were against Standard and Miniature Donkeys.
We did not show much in 2008 and hardly at all in 2009, with none of our Qualified Donkeys attending the Supreme show
in 2009 due to Johnny Paychecks illness.
No Donkeys where shown 2010 as by now I was concentrating on showing dogs and judging Donkeys.
Welcome to Our web site!
Our goal has always been to breed Miniature Donkeys which will do well in the showring and later make a
valuable contribution to the Breed.
As we are presently the ONLY Miniature Donkey Breeders to have bred both adult DBS Champion/ Reserve Champions
We look forward to the future with our own stock striving for more show Champions for ourselves and others.
“Quality” is a term that is often used among breeders and for us it is over all “Correct Strong Conformation”
with the genetic ability to produce selected preferences in breed type.
We have not purchased or bred any animals carrying dwarfing traits, we will not compromise our conformation to acquire small (micro mini) animals.
Miniature Donkeys, as are my Smooth Collies, are after all working animals!
I never compromising on Temprement either but do like confident Donkeys as they make the best show Donkeys.
We do not/ have not bought for colour alone unlike many other Breeders.
* Arranbrook Miniature Donkeys are the UK no 1 source for exports and our Donkeys have been selected to build new Herds
in Belgium, France and Ireland.
With further exports to add to established Herds in France and The Netherlands.
Just keep in mind that in this Country jealousy is rife!!!!!

Anon
My lifelong interest in Horses, ponies & hounds with 30 years of showing collies means
I have always had an understanding of fliud movement with correct conformation,
something I do not believe can be taught.
I have strictly appllied this throughout my own personal selection and breeding program.
While we have never actually claimed to be the best we know our Donkeys results
and especially the type of foals we breed continue to speak volumes for us.
*Please note (yet again I was the first UK breeder to make this announcement which was originally on my foals page) due to
the present economic climate.
Arranbrook foals will be few and far between for the next few years,
I still show and breed my dogs at the highest level, (yes that includes Crufts) go to www.smooth-collies.com to
see more with Top Quality puppies of Finnish bloodlines planned for in 2013.
I am also a Donkey Breed Society judge and a Smooth Collie Breed Specialist judge.
We freely offer help and advice, lots of after sales advice as always, see my Testimonials page,
please note (again) I was the first in the UK to add a Testimonials page to my web site.
Visitors always welcome by prior appointment.
We do ask for a small donation in the form of a cheque made payable to the Donkey Charity of our choice.
Ann.
Kiterra's Outlaw, the FIRST and ONLY Coloured Champion Miniature Donkey in the UK and he's a Tricolour!
For those wishing to breed for colour, Grey and white will give plenty of Grey's, colour produces colour!
Breeding two coloured Donkeys is not recommended due to the LWG always breed solid to colour which gives 50% chance of colour!

ARRANBROOK WHERE OUR DONKEYS HAVE ALWAYS SPOKEN FOR US IN THE SHOWRING
